A story passed down through generations around Sun Moon Lake.

Long ago, the Thao people lived near Alishan. While preparing for an ancestral ceremony, a group of warriors followed their chief into the mountains to hunt. After days without success, a great white deer suddenly appeared before them.

The warriors followed the deer across mountains and valleys until they arrived at the shore of a vast lake.

The white deer then leapt into the water and disappeared. As the warriors looked around, they discovered a beautiful landscape of shimmering waters surrounded by mountains, with abundant fish and shrimp beneath the surface—a place ideal for settling and building a new home.

The Thao believed that the white deer had been sent by their ancestral spirits to guide them to Shui Sha Lian, the area now known as Sun Moon Lake. From then on, they made this land their home.

Inspired by this local legend, Fleur de Chine created DiDi in the image of a deer. To us, DiDi is more than an adorable mascot—he is a little companion who carries the spirit and stories of Sun Moon Lake.

At five years old, DiDi is curious about everything around him. He loves exploring, discovering new things, and accompanying guests of all ages as they learn more about this land and uncover the stories hidden along the way.

Once arrived at Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Station, please head to Exit 5 "Nantou Bus THSR Highway No. 6 Express " and take the Sun Moon Lake bus.
